exceptional report prepared by Lexis Nexis, and published in collaboration with Burhan Almarifa Company. This report includes confidential interviews with managing partners of law firms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This report serves as an important reference that reflects the development of the legal sector in the Kingdom, in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

It is a critical consideration for both the current and future generations. Whether in terms of rapid changes and technological advancements, or the need to uphold the highest professional standards, it is essential that law firms in the Kingdom fully recognize the responsibility they bear in addressing these shifts. Moreover, they shall assess their readiness and acknowledge the pivotal role played by managing partners in this sector.

In this regard, my participation aimed to highlight the distinction of our firm, Fahad Alrefaei & Partners Consulting & Law Firm, and to strengthen its position, presence, aspirations, and vision for the future.

A dedicated section of the report was reserved for answering several questions, including an analysis of legal services and consulting, a forward-looking vision of law and legal consultancy, the role of administrative organization and technology, as well as the artificial intelligence apps to enhance the future of the profession.

I emphasized the importance of integrating technology and artificial intelligence into law firms and legal services, stating that it is no longer an option but a critical decision that must shape and drive processes in operations management, marketing, training, and development. Those who fail to adapt will fall behind.

I also emphasized the importance of developing the work system in law firms and legal consulting firms to align with the best governance methodologies, results-based management, and knowledge management, as well as the applications of legal project management.

When asked about my aspirations and vision for the future, particularly regarding my expectations for 2024, I explained that the firm is aiming to transition into a joint-stock firm. This will make us the first firm at both the local and regional levels to adopt a well-structured corporate entity. This transition will help us operate according to a legal project methodology, diversify our services, and separate ownership from management to achieve both quality and wider reach.

Emphasizing the need to move beyond the traditional, individualistic model that most law firms in the Arab world operate under, internal transformation within law firms has become essential. This shift involves working through specialized legal teams. Additionally, strategic partnerships, mergers, and consolidations among law firms will play a crucial role in expanding market share.

I ask you to read the full interview and welcome any interventions or feedback you may have on its content.

I also encourage you to share it with anyone who might benefit, so that the knowledge may reach a wider audience, God willing.

Best regards,

Chairman of Dr. Fahad Alrefaei & Partners Consulting & Law Firm
