The use of strategic intelligence in managing firms in general, and law firms and legal consultancy in particular are considered one of the most important contemporary issues that are an essential part and can be used in facing any administrative, legal, professional, and technical difficulties in legal consulting firms.

Accordingly, the strategic intelligence of a firm manager is defined as the ability to think proactively and analytically, cope with market turns, meet the needs of the market, fill the gaps, and earn profit or even establish a new market, which enables the firm to gain a competitive advantage at the local and international levels.

The capability of legal consulting firm managers for employing their knowledge, skills, and experiences intelligently is an important factor in knowing the reality of managing this modern sector at various levels. Having and analyzing the right information, and the high motivation for producing legal services with good quality, with a clear future vision, strategy, and policy allow the managers of these companies to make studied commercial decisions for the future of their companies. Weakness of the above will lead to surprises, crises, difficulty in achieving goals, and disturbance in competitiveness, especially since we live in the world of constant changes, and amazing scientific, technical, and digital developments. And this is the issue that imposes searching for all the factors that include superiority for this important sector in meeting society's needs and satisfying them with the provided legal services.

Therefore, investment in intellectual capital is deemed the most important element and basis imposed on the company's managers to cause strategic change.

This will drive us to ask about the role of strategic intelligence in achieving and enhancing the constant competitive advantage for this sector companies, through asking for the assistance of the strategic intelligence dimensions which include:

  • Surveying: It is the possibility of projecting the current state of science on the future.
  • Systems thinking: This is a method or way for solving problems, by seeing “problems” as part of the total system, working on analyzing them, and understanding how to deal with them in order to reach the objective.
  • Future Vision: The ability to see developments before they occur.
  • Motivation: The ability of corporate managers to drive their employees and motivate them to implement the visions set by their directives to achieve the company's strategic objectives.
  • Partnership: The capability of establishing strategic cooperation alliances with other companies in the same sector or another related sector, as one of the mechanisms for adaption to the competitive environment.
  • Intuition: The capability of the administrator to employ his faculties based on his personal experience in responding quickly to solve all problems.
